Celebrations of Renewed Commitments and ReUniting in Love – Vow Renewals, Family Reunions

Whether you are renewing your vows to celebrate an anniversary or a reuniting, or coming together for a family reunion, these celebrations allow loved ones to come together and feel a renewed sense of love and togetherness. These events are meaningful and special and can be as momentous or as fun as you’d like.

If it is a Marriage/ Commitment Vow Renewal, we will acknowledge the love and commitment you have shared over the years of your bond and look to the future as you celebrate together.

Inclusions in the ceremony are as varied as your imagination. Perhaps you would like to have a new family portrait created or exchange eternity rings. There are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will help you renew your vows in a memorable way.

If a Family Reunion is bringing the clan together, this is a time of establishing or identifying a sense of family belonging. Don’t let funerals be the only time the family gets together! A celebrant can bring a sense of structure to a part of the day to ensure that important things are said and a sense of event is created.

Inclusions in the ceremony are as varied as your imagination. Perhaps you would like to have a new family portrait created or have a sand ceremony with all the families adding different coloured sands to some special jars. There are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will help you come together meaningfully.

Giving Back

Love is love. Regardless of whether you are gay or straight, love is love. Marriage equality – it’s seems like such a simple concept; that every loving relationship, no matter the sexuality of the people involved, should be recognised and of equal worth. Why is it that a person should be discriminated against, simply because of their sexual orientation? But that’s exactly what is happening in Australia. Same-sex couples are denied the right to celebrate their love through the act of marriage, a right that all heterosexual couples enjoy.I’m sure that in the future, we will look back and shake our heads at the incredible injustice of marriage inequality in Australia. The day will come- and hopefully soon.

Until then, I want to give back by supporting Get Up! with their Marriage Equality Campaign by giving a portion of the fees from every wedding and commitment ceremony.

On a personal note, I’m also standing in solidarity with my gay friends as my wonderful partner Dean and I have chosen to wait to marry until marriage is legal for all.
